Companies House ACSP registration delayed – 24 Feb 2025
Companies House has just announced that they are delaying the launch of the ACSP registration process – that was planned for tomorrow (25 February 2025). Their update says:
“The launch of the service to register as an ACSP/Companies House authorised agent has been postponed.
This new service is for third party providers who will be carrying out identity checks on behalf of clients for Companies House, to register their business to become an ACSP. It was due to go live on 25 February 2025.
…As this is a major system introduction, we’re taking the time to ensure everything works properly before legal requirements begin and will provide regular updates to customers as we proceed.
We’ll keep you updated on our progress and next steps.“
Companies House released a further update on 25 February 2025:
“We have identified areas with the service that require final testing. As a result, we have paused the launch.
A Companies House spokesperson said:
- “We are transforming our technology infrastructure to implement new measures under the Economic Crime and Corporate Transparency Act and have built in time to ensure everything operates properly before customers are required to comply with changes.
- We have identified areas with our service to register as an authorised corporate service provider that require final testing.
- We are addressing these ahead of launching the service to make sure it works perfectly for our customers.”
For information
- We have millions of customers and facilitate tens of millions of searches for company information every day.
- We’ll share updates on the launch timeline when we are confident that the service meets our high standards. “
